Home / From Castellini to C&C Milano

1850

C&C Milano has a long history built on values such as creativity, hard work and respect for family values. The passion for textiles and natural fibres dates back over 100 years, to mid-19th century. It all started when Clateo, guided by his passion for linen, purchased a hemp and wool spinning factory. Initially it mainly produced bags used by the Italian Post Office to carry correspondence, anti-hail covers and cheese storing bags. Gradually the interest for natural fibres grew and so the items produced expended. The factory was famous for making the iconic fabric covering the deckchairs from Lido in Venice, as well as deckchairs from other beaches around Mediterranean Sea.

1970’s TESSITURA BRAGHENTI

The merge between the two family businesses happened in the 1980’s when Castellini mill and Bragheti mill of Varese became one. Together they increased the production of natural fabrics. Ratti of Como acquired the mills in 1990’s and Emanuele Castellini remained a board member until 1997, the same year he co-founded C&C Milano

1996

C&C Milano was born from a deep passion for textiles and the desire to revolution the world of interiors. In 1996, Piero and Emanuele Castellini combined their vision and skills and created C&C Milano.

The first showroom ever opened was in Milano on the popular street Via della Spiga. The businesses orientation focused on decorative fabrics such as silks and linens, finished product items for bedding, bath linens and table linens. The showroom also included home accessories. Shortly after a new showroom in Paris opened and one in Milano Malpensa.

2005

The showroom in Milan dislocated for a short period of time in 2005, but was reopened with a fresh new look in 2010. The location changed, was moved to a residential area in Milan, a part of the city rich in history and art, surrounded by wonderful buildings, walking distance from the famous church Santa Maria delle Grazie, where the spectacular painting of Leonardo Da Vinci, The Last Supper is displayed. The new location offers clients a wide fabric selection, soft furnishings for luxury interior design dedicated to both residential and commercial markets.

2010

This year is marked by the opening of the C&C Milano outlet in Oleggio. The location is charming and picturesque, a small village in Novara. The outlet was created to offer to the public the opportunity to purchase out of collection fabrics and limited-edition home accessories. We included ex-display items or textiles used in photoshoots that are generously discounted.

2013

Following the success of our business, we decided to open two more showrooms, one in London (right) in 2013 and the other one in Munich (left) in 2015.
