Niagara is a one-of-a-kind wool throw handmade by San Patrignano’s weaving team specially for C&C Milano. San Patrignano is a community, founded in 1978, that offers people with drug addiction the opportunity to rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society by teaching them high skilled artisanal jobs. The weaving workshop operates daily and is formed by 40 young ladies working on manual wooden looms to create bespoke accessories and fabrics using the highest quality yarns. C&C Milano joined this extraordinary initiative to support the people involved and create unique blankets and throws from cashmere and wool. Niagara is a wool throw deep dyed in two stunning pigments that create a colour fusion using a degradè effect on one width. We have a similar design with the colour blend on both ends called Carambola. The fine texture of Niagara, hand woven using the purest wool and its unique colour combinations, make it the perfect contemporary accessory, a fashionable feature in any luxury home.
Niagara is available in one size: 140cm x 180cm with 2.5cm fringes on the width.
Wool is a natural fibre containing protein and lipides. Follicles and cells from the skin of animals like sheep, goat, muskox, bison generate wool. It is a renewable and biodegradable fibre that can absorb more that 35 percent of its own weight. A great insulator, wool is thermal resistant, inhibiting heat transfer. Naturally fire retardant, offers a great level of fire safety. Wool is self-cleaning and can absorb odours.
